1. Die out : 멸종되다, 자취를 감추다

Collins : If something dies out, it becomes less and less common and eventually disappears completely.

'die out'은 어떤 구체적이거나 추상적인 대상이 점차 사라져 소멸되어 끝나는 과정을 나타냅니다. 'out'이 동작(die)의 끝을 표현하는 것이죠. 예문을 통해 친해져 볼까요?

3. take matters into one's own hands : 일을 스스로 [직접] 처리하다.

idioms,thefree : To deal with, manage, or do something oneself, especially after having relied on others to do it.

'take matters into one's own hands'는 다른 사람이 제 몫을 하지 못했을 때 스스로 일을 가져다가 처리하는 것을 의미합니다. 예문과 함께 친해져 볼까요?
